Dr. Anuson Chinvanno, Director of ISC, was invited to attend the 2^nd ASEAN Policy Dialogue on the ASEAN Community Vision 2045, co-organised by the Foreign Policy Strategy Agency, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia and the Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia (ERIA), on 6 December 2023. Dr. Anuson shared his views on climate change and its socio-economic impacts on ASEAN and its member countries. He pointed out that climate change impacts should be viewed as a human security issue affecting the elderly and the youth. He also emphasised the necessity to take a holistic view in rethinking regional and national development model. The event was attended by representatives from ministries of foreign affairs of ASEAN member states, think tanks, and ASEAN-affiliated organisations.
