On 4 March 2021, the Department of East Asian Affairs and the International Studies Center (ISC), co-organised a seminar on “Major Power Competition on Technology: Economic and International Security Implications for Thailand” at The Siam Hotel.

At the session, four experts, namely, Dr. Pichet Durongkaveroj, Former Minister of Digital Economy and Society, Lt. Gen. Dr. Prachya Chalermwat, Secretary-General, the National Cyber Security Committee (NCSC), Dr. Supavud Saicheua, Advisor of Kiatnakin Financial Group, and Mr. Prathet Tankuranun, Chief Technology Officer, DTAC, shared their views on the issue.

The meeting was moderated by Dr. Anuson Chinvanno, Director of ISC, and attended by Mr. Dusit Manapan, Deputy Permanent-Secretary, Ms. Arjaree Sriratanaban, Director-General, Department of East Asian Affairs, as well as representatives from various departments under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
