On 20 November 2024, the International Studies Center (ISC) organised an event to launch the book “Global Thailand: in conversation with Narongchai Akrasanee” at Surasak Ballroom 1, Eastin Grand Sathorn Hotel. At the event, Dr. Narongchai Akrasanee shared his views on the development of and Thailand’s role in international economic affairs, including the issue of trade, investment and international finance. He also discussed regional economic cooperation frameworks, such as APEC, PECC and AFTA. Future challenges that affect foreign affairs and economic development were also discussed. The session was moderated by Dr. Anuson Chinvanno and attended by approximately 90 participants from the government organisations, the private sector, think tanks and universities.
