On 22 August 2024, the International Studies Center organised a launch event for the book “Morning Prayers with Arsa Sarasin: Foreign Affairs in Practice”, which contains a collection of informal notes of foreign policy discussions and decisions at “morning meetings” in 1991-1992 when Arsa Sarasin was Foreign Minister. At the event, distinguished speakers, namely Dr. Tej Bunnag, Chairperson of ISC Advisory Board and Secretary-General of the Thai Red Cross Society, Ambassador Pisan Manawapat, former Thailand’s Ambassador to the United States and Associate Professor Dr. Supamit Pitipat, Faculty of Political Science, Chulalongkorn University, shared their views on the significance of the collection and their implications on today’s foreign affairs. Approximately 120 participants, including former ministers of foreign affairs, former ambassadors, current senior and mid-level officials from the ministry, the media, scholars and analysts from think tanks and educational institutions, attended the event.
