On 21 February 2024, Director of ISC received a visit by Mr. Michael Growder, First Assistant Secretary, Strategic Communications Division, Mr. Harrison Thomas, Assistant Director, Strategic Communications Section, Australia’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), Ms. Suzanne Passmore, First Secretary and Mr. Sarat Suebsantikul, Senior Political Analyst, Australian Embassy in Thailand. The Director briefed them on ISC’s mandate and activities. They also exchanged views on political and security developments in the region as well as cross-cutting issues that affect foreign affairs, such as soft power, misinformation and disinformation and the role of non-state actors in the virtual world.
