On 5 February 2025, the International Studies Center (ISC) in collaboration with Dr. Thanat Khoman ASEAN Studies Center, Prince Songkhla University (PSU) organised a seminar on “Foreign Affairs through the People’s Lens” at EILA6 Room, 8^th Floor, Learning Resources Center Building 1, Prince Songkhla University (Hat Yai Campus). The event was opened by remarks from Assistant Professor Dr. Niwat Kaewpradub, President of PSU. The remarks was followed by a special talk on “Thailand’s Foreign Affairs: Continuity and Change” given by Dr. Anuson Chinvanno, Director of ISC.

At the event, five speakers, namely Associate Professor Dr. Jittipat Poonkham, Faculty of Political Science, Thammasat University, Assistant Professor Dr. Thakerng Wongsirichot, Vice President for Academic and International Affairs of PSU, Dr. Hafiz Salae, Head of Institute of Southeast Asian Maritime States Studies of PSU, Mr. Chanin Sakarin, Vice President of Hat Yai Songkhla Hotels Association and Mr. Songphon Changsiriwattanathamrong, President of The Songkhla Chamber of Commerce, discussed emerging opportunities and challenges for Thailand’s foreign affairs as relevant to their locality and proposed ideas for future developments. The session was moderated by Dr. Krongkwan Traitongyoo, ISC Senior Analyst.

Approximately 80 participants from the government organisations, the private sector, the civil society and educational institutions attended the event.
