Dr. Anuson Chinvanno, Director of the International Studies Center (ISC), attended the 64th Council for Security Cooperation in the Asia Pacific (CSCAP) Steering Committee meeting held at the Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur on 3 July 2026. The participation highlights the ISC's expanding role in regional security dialogue, as the Center has recently been given the secretariat work of CSCAP Thailand. Established in 1993, CSCAP is a non-governmental (Track II) initiative that provides an informal mechanism for scholars, officials, and regional experts to discuss pressing political and security challenges in Asia and the Pacific. The Council acts as a crucial forum for building regional confidence and regularly delivers policy recommendations to intergovernmental bodies.
