On 16 March 2022, the International Studies Center (ISC) held a joint webinar with the Institute of Strategic Studies Islamabad (ISSI) on “Pakistan and Thailand: Geo-economic Visions and Policy Frameworks”, as part of their on-going cooperation. Ambassador Chakkrid Krachaiwong, Ambassador of Thailand to Pakistan as well as Ms. Faiza Haseeb, Representative of Ambassador of Pakistan to Thailand, also joined the webinar and delivered welcoming remarks.

Four experts, namely, Dr. Talat Shabbir, Director of China-Pakistan Study Centre (CPSC) at ISSI, Dr. Narut Charoensri, Vice Dean of Faculty of Political Science and Public Administration, Chiang Mai University, Dr. Neelum Nigar, Director for Strategic Perspectives at ISSI, as well as Mr. Manu Sithiprasasana, Executive Director, International Institute for Trade and Development (ITD) presented their views on the current economic situations and suggested possible collaboration to enhance connectivity between Thailand and Pakistan. The presentations were followed by discussions. H.E. Mr. Aizaz Ahmad Chaudhry, Director-General of ISSI and Dr. Anuson Chinvanno, Director of ISC, delivered closing remarks.
