The International Studies Center (ISC), in the capacity of the Thailand’s National Committee for the Pacific Economic Cooperation Council (TNCPEC) Secretariat, organised the first TNCPEC meeting on 18 June 2026. At the meeting, Dr. Narongchai Akrasanee, Chairperson of TNCPEC introduced the committee members and recounted institutional development of the Pacific Economic Cooperation Council (PECC), which serves as a network of member committees composed of individuals and institutions from government organisations and the private and academic sectors with the main objective to promote cooperation among economies across the Asia-Pacific region. Members of TNCPEC discussed planned activities and provided advice for the operation of TNCPEC.
