On 15 July 2026, the International Studies Center (ISC) in collaboration with the Faculty of Political Science, Prince of Songkla University (PSU) Pattani Campus co-organised a seminar on "Thailand-Malaysia: Toward Seamless Connectivity?" at Sri Wangsa Meeting Room, Faculty of Political Science. Assistant Professor Dr. Surawut Chomaitong, Dean the Faculty of Political Science, delivered the opening remarks which was followed by special talks on “Thailand’s Foreign Affairs: Continuity and Change” by Dr. Anuson Chinvanno, Director of ISC and “Emerging Trends in Geopolitics” by Associate Professor Dr. Jittipat Poonkham, Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and International Relations, Faculty of Political Science, Thammasat University.
Three speakers, namely Dr. Khoddaree Binsen, President of the Association of the Private Schools Confederation of Southern Thailand and Chairperson of the Advisory Council, Southern Border Provinces Administrative Center (SBPAC), Assistant Professor Dr. Oracha Rakdee, Faculty of Political Science, PSU Pattani Campus and Mr. Amran Baka, District Chief of Kabang, Yala Province, discussed ongoing developments, emerging opportunities and challenges as well as ways to enhance bilateral collaborations between Thailand and Malaysia at the local level. The session was moderated by Mr. Seksan Anantasirikiat, ISC Senior Researcher, and attended by approximately 150 faculty members and students at PSU Pattani Campus.
