On 16 May 2025, the International Studies Center (ISC) in collaboration with the Devawongse Varopakarn Institute of Foreign Affairs (DVIFA) and the Prince Saud Al Faisal Institute for Diplomatic Studies (PSAFIDS) co-organised the Thailand-Saudi Arabia Academic Dialogue at Bangkok Mariott The Surawongse Hotel. The began with welcome remarks by Mrs. Thitiporn Chirasawadi, Director of DVIFA, which was followed by the opening remarks of H.E. Dr. Mushabbab AlKahtani, Director-General, PSAFIDS, Ms. Mathurawee Wisuthakul, Deputy Director-General, Department of South Asian, Middle East and African Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand and H.E. Mr. Abdulrahman Alsuhaibani, Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Thailand. The Dialogue has three sessions, covering Thailand-Saudi Arabia bilateral relations, ASEAN and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and great power rivalry and its implications.
