International Studies Center (ISC), in the capacity of the Global Center for Mekong Studies (GCMS) Thailand Center and co-chair for GCMS, was invited to attend the 7th GCMS Think Tank Forum, jointly organised by China Institute of International Studies (CIIS) and Yunnan University, in conjunction with the 15th Southwest (Xi Nan) Forum, on 24-25 October 2024.

On 24 September 2024, the International Studies Center (ISC) organised a launching event for the book “Thailand and ASEAN 1967-1979” and a seminar on “Thailand and ASEAN 2025-2045”.

On 20 September 2024, Faculty of Political Science, Ubon Ratchathani University, in collaboration with International Studies Center (ISC) and Thammasat Institute of Area Studies (TIARA) jointly organised a seminar on “Ubon Ratchathani Province and the Mekong Subregion in Thai Foreign Affairs”, on the occasion of the 19th anniversary of the foundation of the faculty.

As part of their ongoing cooperation, the Korea Research Initiatives at the University of New South Wales (KRI@UNSW) in collaboration with the Office of the Public Sector Development Commission (OPDC) and the International Studies Center (ISC) jointly organised the Korea-ASEAN Community on Policy Exchange (KACPE) International Public Policy Symposium 2024, sponsored by the Korea Foundation and the ASEAN Foundation, on 29-30 August 2024 at Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel.

On 22 August 2024, the International Studies Center organised a launch event for the book “Morning Prayers with Arsa Sarasin: Foreign Affairs in Practice”, which contains a collection of informal notes of foreign policy discussions and decisions at “morning meetings” in 1991-1992 when Arsa Sarasin was Foreign Minister.
