As part of their ongoing cooperation, the International Studies Center, in collaboration with the Centre for Humanitarian Dialogue (HD) and Shanghai Institutes for International Studies (SIIS), co-hosted the second regional experts dialogue under the title “Tackling COVID-19 and Climate Security Challenges in the Greater Mekong Region: Early Warning, Adaptation, and Development” on 27 September 2022. At the event, experts and practitioners from the riparian states of the Mekong River discussed the impacts of COVID-19 and climate change at the community level. They also addressed future climate security risks as well as necessity to build trust among the riparian states.
