On 14 August 2026, the International Studies Center (ISC) hosted The ISC International Forum 2026 on the theme of "Thanat Khoman, ASEAN, and the Future of Southeast Asia" at the Eastin Grand Hotel Sathorn Bangkok. Opened by Dr. Tej Bunnag, the forum commemorated the 10th anniversary of the passing of H.E. Dr. Thanat Khoman and kicked off ASEAN's 60th anniversary in 2027. Key highlights included Ambassador Pradap Pibulsonggram's keynote address reflecting on Dr. Thanat's vision on regional cooperation, and Dr. Narongchai Akrasanee's special lunch talk sharing his firsthand experience from working with Dr. Thanat on pivotal economic cooperation frameworks such as PECC and APEC.

 The forum also included robust discussions by regional experts from Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam and Thailand on how to navigate major-power competition and foster middle-power agency. The Forum also assessed the current state of ASEAN cooperation and examined how to strengthen ASEAN's strategic resilience towards Vision 2045.
