On 13 August 2026, the International Studies Center (ISC), in the capacity of Secretariat of the Thailand National Committee for the Pacific Economic Cooperation Council (TNCPEC), organised the presentation of the Pacific Economic Cooperation Council (PECC) State of the Region (SOTR) Report 2025 at the Pullman Bangkok Hotel G, Silom Road.

Aften the welcoming remarks by Dr. Anuson Chinvanno, Director of the International Studies Center (ISC) and Secretary of TNCPEC, Dr. Kaewkamol Pitakdumrongkit, Executive Director of PECC International Secretariat, presented key insights from the SOTR 2025 report. The presentation covered the two-decade milestone of the SOTR report and its vital role in driving the Asia-Pacific economy, the macroeconomic outlook along with emerging risks to regional growth. A special feature for the SOTR 2026 report would focus on the dynamics of Artificial Intelligence (AI) adoption, AI governance and opportunities within the digital economy. Approximately 40 participants from government organisations, the private sector, think tanks and universities attended the event.
