On 20 September 2024, Faculty of Political Science, Ubon Ratchathani University, in collaboration with International Studies Center (ISC) and Thammasat Institute of Area Studies (TIARA) jointly organised a seminar on “Ubon Ratchathani Province and the Mekong Subregion in Thai Foreign Affairs”, on the occasion of the 19^th anniversary of the foundation of the faculty. At the event, Dr. Anuson Chinvanno, Director of ISC, was invited to deliver a keynote speech on “The Importance of the Mekong Subregion to Thai Foreign Affairs”. The seminar had three main sessions discussing “Ubon Ratchathani in Thai Foreign Affairs”, “India’s Blue Economy Initiative and its Implications for Asia” and “Non-violence in the Multicultural World”. Approximately 300 participants from the government organisations, the private sector, and universities attended the event.
