On 2-3 October 2025, Dr. Anuson Chinvanno, ISC Director, attended the 2^nd ASEAN Think Tanks Summit (ATTS) at the ASEAN Secretariat, Jakarta. The Summit was organised by the Singapore Institute of International Affairs (SIIA) on behalf of the ASEAN-ISIS network, in partnership with the ASEAN Secretariat and with support from some ASEAN’s Dialogue Partners.

            The 2^nd ATTS took on the theme of the Malaysian Chair on “Inclusivity and Sustainability”. The conference was opened by Datuk Professor Dr. Mohd Faiz Abdullah, Chairman, ISIS Malaysia and Chair of ASEAN-ISIS. The Opening Remarks were followed by a keynote address by Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, Secretary-General of ASEAN.

            The conference featured presentations and panel discussions on Building Digital Resilience, Mainstreaming Sustainability, Deepening Economic Integration, Preserving ASEAN Centrality and on Challenges related to Ocean Governance and Maritime Security. As with previous practice, there would be a summary of insights and a policy memo as feedback to the 47^th ASEAN Summit.

            The Summit was attended by representatives of think tanks from all 10 ASEAN member states as well as Timor-Leste and several dialogue-partner countries, Ambassadors and officials from the Permanent Missions to ASEAN, and officers of the ASEAN Secretariat.
